Regional Franchisees
Support for Regional Franchisees comes from the team at the Franchise Support Office. An initial three week training course is given, which incorporates classroom and on the job training. Learning receives ongoing importance, and new training modules are delivered at the two annual conferences or via one on one visits.
Every Regional Franchisee receives a two day visit every month from a senior member of the Franchise Support Office team. A specific person or area of concentration can be requested to assist in the areas of sales, marketing, administration, IT, operations, business planning, or any other aspect of operating a Fastway Regional Franchise.
The comprehensive intranet accessed by all Regional Franchisees worldwide, contains a huge library of manuals, which features an excellent search function for obtaining information or answers to questions. The intranet is a central system from which all forms and PowerPoint training can be accessed, reports posted, finances calculated, and up to date news obtained. In fact the intranet is a cyberspace meeting place for discussion and information for all franchisees.
An IT support team assists Regional Franchisees to understand and operate the Fastway software programs. Fastway has always been at the forefront of IT developments, and has quickly implemented new systems when a direct benefit to franchisee's businesses can be achieved.
Marketing is made easy for Regional Franchisees as the Franchise Support Office have a large range of local marketing programs which incorporate all the artwork needed to implement. These programs are continually updated or added to on a montly basis, and are sent to all Regional Franchisees in a regular 'marketing pack'. In house Desk Top Publishers provide personalised artwork in a quick turn around time, and all Regional Franchisees make regular use of this service.
Group purchasing arrangements are negotiated with suppliers to utilise the group buying power, ensuring that each franchisee is not only able to make savings, but can order items in a seamless manner. |

Courier Franchisees
Courier Franchisees are supported by their Regional Franchisee. The Franchise Support Office has developed a huge range of training modules in PowerPoint, multimedia presentations, or flip chart, which can be delivered in a one to one, classroom, or individual situation.
Courier Franchisees receive on the job and orientation training as well as completing a video training course. Most importantly, Courier Franchisees are trained in the Fastway saturation marketing techniques - the secret to growing a courier business rapidly. Years of experience shows that enthusiastic, outgoing and ambitious people who follow this system develop high turnover businesses quickly.
Comprehensive manuals are supplied on CD. These manuals have been developed over many years, and cover all aspects of operating a Courier Franchise.
Mini conferences are held several times per year in various regions, to which couriers and their families are invited. Mixing with other franchisees in a relaxed and friendly environment makes these functions very popular, and provides the right atmosphere for learning. A kids club is often run at the same time, so the children can have a fun time meeting the Fastway Man in their own party environment.
The marketing manual and training programs for Courier Franchisees obtain a wide range of free or low cost marketing intiatives that are finely targeted to gaining new customers, or obtaining more business from existing customers. Any of these initiatives that the Courier Franchisee wishes to implement can be put in place within a few days.
All administration is taken care of by the Regional Franchisee, leaving the couriers free to drive the growth of their businesses. Operational, sales, and customer service support is also given, including access to the Fastway network for delivery of parcels to other regions. |
